Why do I need an MOT?

Any vehicle over 3 years old is required to have an annual safety check which is called an MOT test (Ministry of Transport test). This test checks that the vehicle meets the standard legal safety levels.

At Apex Auto Tech in Stirling, we have a team of approved Class 4 MOT testers who carry out a series of checks on your vehicle, looking inside, outside, under the bonnet and underneath the vehicle. If your vehicle passes all the checks, we can issue a pass certificate. There may also be “advisory” items, which means that you need to keep an eye on them. Unfortunately, not all vehicles pass the MOT test, but thankfully, we can carry out any repairs that are required and then retest your vehicle and get you safely back on the road.

I’ve used Apex Autos (JPHowden) for years with a variety of cars and would not go anywhere else. Very high standard of work, competitive rates and an open and honest approach keeping customer informed. Should a job be quoted and subsequently turns out to be less the actual job done is charged exactly as it should be. They are reliable and I trust them to do a professional job whenever car is in for service, MOT or repair - 1st class.

Eventually found a garage that provides the service you want. Fixed electrical problem on Nissan Qashqai, brilliant service and information provided to the customer at all times. Booked Nissan Juke for MOT, issues with car. No problem for this garage, sorted same day also talked through health check for the car. Excellent service provided from this independent garage. I cannot recommend this garage enough.
