Why the Name Change?

In 2011, Mark Inglis bought what was then JP Howden Auto Electrics. At that time, the focus was on building a solid reputation and providing quality services rather than thinking about changing the name. Over a decade later, we’ve grown into something more – and it’s time the name reflected that.

We’re now Apex Auto Tech.

Our new name isn’t about a change in ownership or the quality of our work and services – it’s about better representing what we actually do. We built our reputation as auto electricians, but the reality is that the term “auto electrician” feels outdated. In today’s world, any decent  workshop should have the skills and equipment to handle most electrical faults.

What sets us apart isn’t the label — it’s the way we approach diagnosis and repair.

In addition to being auto electrical specialists, Apex Auto Tech offer a wide range of other services for vehicle owners in Stirling, including servicing, general repairs, MOT testing etc.  And every vehicle we work on receives a free health check which can often identify minor issues before they become major ones.

We’re renowned for our advanced diagnostic capabilities, backed by significant investment in the latest technology, including TopDon, Autofix, Bosch KTS, Autocom, and BCDS. This equipment, combined with our technical expertise, allows us to identify and resolve even the most complex issues efficiently and accurately.

When it comes to servicing, we always follow the manufacturer’s official service schedule, regardless of your vehicle’s age. For cars still under warranty, we carry out servicing under Block Exemption (BE) regulations, ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards and your warranty remains fully protected. We also update Online Service Records (OSRs) where applicable. If you prefer, we can also provide interim or full servicing, tailored to your vehicle’s needs and your budget.
